Having fun in the water
Situated in the foothills of the Massif Central, the Black Périgord is a region of rivers. Originally serving as a means of transport between the hinterland and the coast, today they are huge tourist attractions and form the basis for leisure activities in this conservation area. The 3 most important waterways are the Dordogne, the Vézère and the Auvézère, but there are also smaller rivers, some slow-moving some tempestuous, depending on their depth, such as The Céou and the Nauze.
